Yellow Garden Spider

They are harmless but can be a nuisance when their webs are built in places inconvenient for humans. Their webs can be found in fields, on fences, around homes and in other locations.

Characteristics

  • Marked with yellow, black, orange or silver
  • Female body is more than 1 inch long with much longer legs
  • A males body is often less than ΒΌ inch
  • Also known as:
    • the black and yellow garden spider
    • The writing spider
